Public space is a valuable yet fragile resource. First developed as a concept in ancient Greece, today public space is in need of redefinition and renewal. To create a public building that is truly open and inviting for all citizens requires insightfulness and courage. Often containing multiple functions and serving as meeting points, we define these places as URBAN HUBS with their unique combination of uses, users and equally unique architectural expression. They can range from something as small as a museum exhibition about a specific topic, to a large facility combining a swimming hall and a school.
