A new pumping station for district heating has been created along the street -– Sjöviksbacken´s east-facing slope. A cast in-situ concrete façade appears to have a horizontal crack in it that reveals a surface of warm red colored wooden ribs. The edges of the crack form informal seating areas, while the roof of building has become an extension of the park above and a playground for ball sports for the many children that have recently moved into the rapidly urbanizing area.
